Analysis of Characteristics of Mental Disorder-Related Criminal Behavior through Precedents

Among the various crimes, ones committed by mentally ill provoke more serious public concern, which is probably caused such characteristics as unpredictability, brutality, unknown motives, or random targeting of victims. The purpose this study was to analyze crimes ill, investigate type mental disorders and assaulting weapons, examine correlation between their criminal behavior patterns. Through combination forensic psychological approach, authors examined behavioral criminals identify them. cases for analysis were collected through search precedents at National Law Information Center where 19 selected. In conclusion, diagnoses schizophrenia, pedophilia, intellectual disability, personality disorder, depressive in descending order. them, schizophrenia accounted 6 (31.6%), especially paranoid (3 cases) premeditated crimes. Mental handicap recognized 9 rejected 4 cases. However, cases, it not mentioned court. Further, judgment being handicapped made without reference appraisal 3 out so its credibility might be argued. number defendants who had past histories 7 (33.3%) 21 defendants, may illustrate rate recidivism disorder criminals.
